Gener8 is an independent youth project that offers young people experiencing difficulties in local schools, the opportunity to re-engage in education and training, modify behaviour and eventually reintegrate into mainstream schooling. The project also provides a safe meeting place for young people, offers services such as low priced food and drink as well as free internet access.

The programme offers young people the prospect of improving their self esteem, achieving more academically as well as socially. At Gener8 young people are encouraged to utilize a range of support and advice services such as; health services, career advice and counselling that are adapted to their needs. The accredited Key skills courses in Literacy, numeracy and ICT may be the last resort for some of the young people who may have been completely excluded from formal education.
